Veterans Legal Assistance Program Rebrands as Veterans Information & Assistance Program (VIAP)
New Name Reflects Expanded Mission to Serve Veterans Through Sponsorship, Education and Advocacy
KILLEEN, TX — The Veterans Legal Assistance Program (VLAP) has officially rebranded as the Veterans Information & Assistance Program (VIAP), a change that reflects the organization’s expanded mission to serve veterans beyond connecting them with legal support.
The program’s new website, myviap.com, will act as a centralized resource hub for veterans and their families.
“The shift from ‘Legal Assistance’ to ‘Information & Assistance’ better reflects the evolution of our mission,” said Aaron Arguello, Program Coordinator. “Our objective is to provide veterans with comprehensive support, not just connections, but meaningful education, advocacy and assistance across a wide range of issues that impact their lives.”
A Broader Commitment to Veterans
VIAP is built on three core pillars:
- Sponsorships – Supporting veteran-focused initiatives, organizations and community programs.
- Education – Providing veterans and their families with clear, accessible information about benefits, claims processes and available resources.
- Advocacy – Raising awareness of issues impacting veterans and helping ensure they have a voice in matters that affect them.
With the name change, VIAP aims to simplify complex systems, remove barriers to information and empower veterans to make informed decisions.
